Milky Way
There's something unique about photographing the milky way, being outside in pitch darkness. I'm constantly chasing the darkest skies "near" me, often driving 8-10 hours roundtrip for a night or two of astrophotography. On a good night, a photographer is lucky to get five and a half hours of pure, moonless milky way, on a mediocre one as little as fifteen minutes. I use some more advanced techniques in an attempt to capture as much data from the core of our galaxy as possible, processing them so you can truly imagine what is out there.
